Editor:

We got to know John Schlarmann when he came to worked for us in high school as one of our farm employees. From the first day, we knew we had found a hard worker who always thought out of the box and was a problem solver. We hated to see him leave but encouraged him to go when he decided to start his own successful farming career.

We have watched his family grow. John has been involved in many community activities. He has served on the Jones County Cattleman’s and currently serves on and is the President of the Monticello Community School District. John is a busy person but always is willing to take the time to stop to visit about what’s on your mind.

John Schlarmann will make an excellent supervisor and has our vote. Hopefully, he can count on yours too.
