Editor:

This is an apology and thank you to a local businessman.

On Wednesday, April 1, I stopped at Dave Dirks’ Fairview Body Shop. I read the notice on his door but entered anyway. He put a mask on and immediately escorted me out of the building. He quickly and politely said he couldn’t help me.

Leaving the shop, I realized I had disrespected this man and his employee. I apologize, and I need to take this virus seriously. Thanks, Dave.
