During harvest, two days for three weekends in a row, the Olin St. John’s Lutheran ladies provided noon meals to farmers delivering crops to the Olin River Valley Coop, who I was one. They even gave meals to be taken to combine operators and grain cart drivers.

The lunch consisted of anywhere from hot turkey sandwiches with the trimmings to hot beef barbeque with all the trimmings as well as a huge cinnamon roll! They also included a bottle of water.

These women would not take any donations. These meals were very much appreciated by me and my helpers and I’m sure, everyone else who were fortunate enough to receive them.

Thank you St. John’s Lutheran Church Ladies!
