Barbara Ann Parker, 61, passed away the evening of Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Born on Feb. 5, 1958, to Elisha Hiram and Viva Lorene Cummings, in Springville, she grew up in a religious family on the family farm.

Barb was best known for her spiritual and religious outlook on life and her caring, giving nature. She was very talented as an artist, author and craftswoman. She enjoyed being a member of the Idle-Knots Craft Club. Many people would remember Barbara from her time working with the Anamosa Local Access Channel before it’s closure.

She is survived by her two adult children, Benjamin and Brittany Parker; her two brothers, Ross and Wayne Cummings and their families; her brother-in-law, Dale Parker and his family; and her mother-in-law, Mary Hammer.

A celebration of life is planned for April 6, 2019, at the Whittier Community Center, 1006 County Home Road with service at 11:30 and visitation from noon to 3:30 p.m.

Memorials may be sent to the family at 400 S. Ford St, Anamosa, IA 52205.
