The graduation parade route will begin at the high school before going to the middle school, elementary and through downtown Anamosa. The parade will begin after the completion of the ceremony, May 17.

Due to COVID-19, the graduation for the Anamosa High School Class of 2020 will be unlike any other.

The graduation will take place as planned on May 17, though with some alterations.

Graduates will be assigned their own parking place with details when they are supposed to arrive at the high school and details of how their graduation packet, including their diploma, will be handed out,

Those gathered in the parking lot are limited to graduates and family members, and graduates will not leave their car.

Audio will be broadcast over FM radio at 98.7 for people to be able to listen to the ceremony. The signal should have between a three- to five-mile radius. At the conclusion of the ceremony, a parade of the graduates will be held around 3 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the ceremony. Graduates are encouraged to decorate their vehicles for the parade, and district staff are encouraged to line the parade route.

Prior to graduation on May 15, seniors are invited to go to the Anamosa football field from 8:10 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. where banners of the senior class have been hung around the track to enable them to take pictures with their banners that were sponsored by the community.

Students are reminded to follow social distancing and wear masks when outside of the car.
