Midland’s ninth-ranked Cayden Miller wasted no time in claiming the 182-pound class 1A sectional championship Saturday, Feb. 6, posting a dominating 1:11 pin rout over Lisbon’s Jamien Moore in the title bout. Miller will wrestle for a second-straight state tournament berth Saturday, Feb. 13, at districts in Wapello joining teammates Coy Petersen, Damon Huston, Jared Crock, Carson Hunter and Caden Ballou who all advanced through the sectional round.
