Anamosa citywide garage sales set for June 5–6
Bargain hunters and sellers alike can start making plans as the annual Anamosa City-Wide Garage Sales return Friday and Saturday, June 5–6.
Sponsored by the Journal-Eureka, the event invites residents across the community to host their own sales while drawing shoppers from around the area in search of deals.
Residents who want to participate can have their sale included on the official garage sale page and map for $20. The listing includes up to 20 words, with additional words available for 25 cents each. Payment is required at the time of registration.
The garage sale page and map, published in the Journal-Eureka, serve as a central guide for shoppers, helping them navigate sales throughout the city and ensuring participating households receive maximum visibility.
Those interested in signing up can find an information card in this week’s edition of the newspaper. Completed forms and payment can be submitted by email to nancy@nelsonmediacompany.com, mailed in, or dropped off at the Journal-Eureka office, 405 E. Main St., Anamosa.
The deadline to be included is noon Thursday, May 28. Late entries will not be accepted.
With dozens of households expected to participate, organizers encourage residents to start cleaning out closets, basements and garages now in preparation.
The annual event has become a community tradition, offering a chance to recycle unused items, connect with neighbors and bring visitors into Anamosa for a weekend of shopping and exploration.
