Flooding in Jones County closing roads

    As the Wapsipinicon River in Jones County rises, many roads leading to or crossing the Wapsipinicon River and its tributary creeks may be closed. The flooding has also caused bridges in the county to be out. Do not drive on water-covered roadways. The following roads are closed in Jones County:

    - County Road E-34 south of Anamosa

    - Buffalo Road just west of Anamosa and between 230th and Violet Road

    - Walworth Avenue in Anamosa

    - Shaw Road southeast of Anamosa

    - Lead Mine Road southeast of Anamosa

    - Jungletown Road between 80th and 100th

    - D-62 between 220th 222nd

    - 200th Street between 220th Avenue and X-31

    - Hardscrabble has a bridge out between 190th and 210th

    - River Road 151 to 215th

    - 42nd Street out of Olin east of Highway 38

    - 42nd Street by Martelle east of Highway 1 to 230th Avenue

    - Bridge out on Old Cass Road between Fremont and Linn County Line

    - 170th Avenue from 25th Street to county line

    - Iowa Street

    - Sage Street
